This is my first really baseball game! It was really cool to be there. The weather was so hot though! The humidity really stinks! It was in the 90's and 70% humidity so for those of us who come from a dry heat that makes it feel like 105 degree's and you can't seem to dry off! You are just wet! But anyway, there were so many people there it was crazy! But a TON of fun!
Danton's team; North Carolina! He was really excited we were able to go to this game.
They played Arizona, which his sister Tauna is living there so she was cheering for them. So, I got some pictures of them for her.
PLAY BALL!!!!!
I don't know if you can see but the crowd has a tone of beach balls they are throwing around. I felt bad for the security guard because it is part of there job to get them all so they don't go on the field, which a few of them did and then the ball boy had to get it. Once they did get it if they took if away the crowd would BOO!
Danton's team was doing great until the fifth inning when a ASU player hit a grand slam and tied the game. After that NC was having a hard time. In the bottom of the seventh ASU scored eight runs!! By that time it was almost ten so we decided to just go home and get Lily and put her down to bed. But it was still really fun to go even with the heat! :)
The Elephants are so close to you here. Lily was very excited to see them the whole time we were walking to them...until we actually got to them then she started crying and said she wanted to go. Apparently they are bigger than what she thought!
Notice on the end of this elephants tusk that he has gold caps on them. I didn't know elephant were into the whole "bling" thing. :)
This little baby seal pup is a new addition to the zoo. At least I think he is because he is just a little guy. You can't see it but on the rock above them is a sign that says it is put there so the seals will have there baby's on the beach and not up on the rocks. So, the workers can get to them if they need help. But isn't he so cute!
Lily loved the fish! The have a tunnel you walk through here and you are surround by the fish it is really cool. Lily would not come into the tunnel on her own though she would just at the opening and point and say "HUH! What's that? A ship (her word for fish)!" Finally at that part I just have to get her and walk through the tunnel really fast to the other side. :)
